Ingersoll-Rand Pro Series Grinders are designed to operate only if the patented integral guard is in place. If the guard is removed, the motor is not properly supported and the tool will not run. Ali guards are made from a special patented high-tensile-strength stainless steel for extra protection with less weight.
The integral spring-Ioaded lock latch resets each time the throttle lever is released. This prevents accidental throttle operation even if the tool is dropped.
The motors incorporate a patented controller which regulates air flow through the end plate into the motor. This device controls the speed and power of the tool. There is no need for an additional over speed shutoff device. Most important, the complete assembly is guaranteed for the life of the tool; the only such guarantee of its kind in the industry.
The separate adjustable dead handle can easily be adjusted to 90° or 120° for ease of handling and better control of the tool, another feature that helps lower operator fatigue.
The ergonomic handle design makes it easy for the operator to bold and use the tool, even with gloved hands.
